Penne alla Vodka

This recipe is inspired by the region of Lombardia.

Servings: 4 to 6


1 lb (500 g) penne rigate, cooked as package directs and drained
4 slices bacon, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
⅓ cup (75 mL) vodka or chicken broth
1 jar (650 mL) Classico® di Milano - Vodka Sauce
⅓ cup (75 mL) 35% whipping cream


Cook the bacon in a saucepan set over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add onion and cook, stirring often, until tender. 

Add vodka; cook for 1 minute or until most of the vodka has reduced. Stir in the pasta sauce and cream. Simmer gently for 4 to 5 minutes. Toss the hot penne with the sauce and serve topped with parsley.
