Penne alla Vodka

This recipe is inspired by the region of Lombardia.

1 lb (500 g) penne rigate, cooked
4 slices bacon, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
⅓ cup (75 mL) vodka or chicken broth
1 jar (650 mL) Classico® di Milano - Vodka Sauce
⅓ cup (75 mL) 35% whipping cream
chopped fresh parsley


Cook the bacon in a saucepan set over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add onion and cook, stirring often, until tender.

Add vodka; cook for 1 minute. Stir in pasta sauce and cream. Simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through. Toss with hot, cooked pasta. Garnish with parsley.
